This programme targets individuals aged 16 - 65, who would like to pursue employment in land surveying. Moreover, this programme also targets individuals who would like to upskill or undertake additional studies in land surveying and are already working within the field.

Entry Requirements

Learners need to be in possession of the below to be eligible to enrol in this programme of study:

 

  • MATSEC certificate including 4 o-levels with one pass in mathematics or physics, one pass in design and technology or chemistry or physics or maths or engineering technology.

 

       OR

 

  • MQF Level 3 qualification related to construction engineering or equivalent.

       AND

 

  • Proficient in English.

Learning Outcomes

Assessment Methods

Land surveyors are responsible for preparing and designing visual representations, such as charts and maps, of land. They have various tasks to fulfill in their role. This programme aims to equip learners with the necessary skills and autonomy to:

 

  1. Effectively measure, survey, and describe land surfaces.

  2. Digitally record land survey data accurately.

  3. Produce charts, maps, and other visual presentations to support building and construction projects.

  4. Collaborate and communicate effectively with other professionals in the building and construction industry, considering the specific requirements of each project.

  5. Take responsibility for delivering excellent service and providing support in different land surveying projects, while also understanding and addressing the needs of clients effectively.

​This programme adopts a mixed-methods of assessment, incorporating both formative and summative assessment practices. This is done to ensure that the learners have acquired the learning outcomes determined in this programme application effectively and are efficiently prepared for employment in land surveying. Moreover, this programme also incorporates theoretical and practical assessment methods due to its practical nature.
